Questions and answers
Is aislop free?
Yes. Exploring, suggesting ideas and voting are free. Every hour, the most-voted idea gets built at no cost to anyone. Credits are only needed to rent a place of your own.
Do I need an account?
Not to look around. To suggest ideas, vote or rent a place, sign in with Google.
Who builds the changes?
An AI world-shaper reads the winning idea and the current state of the place, then reshapes it: the land, water, plants, buildings, creatures, weather, light and materials.
What happens to my idea if it doesn't win?
It stays open for 24 hours and keeps collecting votes, so it can still win a later round.
How often does the world change?
Every hour for public ideas, plus whenever someone changes a place they rent.
What does renting a place do?
For 10 credits you look after a place for 7 days with 3 changes included. Nobody else can change it in that time, and your changes happen right away instead of waiting for a vote. You can look after up to 3 places at once.
What happens when my rental ends?
Your changes stay in the world. The place simply opens up again for everyone's ideas.
Is it suitable for kids?
Ideas are checked against word rules before anyone can see them, and every idea is checked again by an AI moderator before it gets built. Ideas can't spell out words or symbols, show real people, or be violent, hateful or adult.
Does it work on phones?
It runs in mobile browsers, but it's made for a computer with a keyboard and mouse.
How do payments work?
Credits are bought through Stripe. Part of every purchase goes into the world's shaping budget, which also pays for the free public changes. See the Terms of Service for refunds.
